SPEAKER of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has expressed confidence that the President Mohammadu Buhari-led administration will surmount the myriad of challenges besetting the country.

He said the damage done to the nation economy and system by the last administration was beyond quantification. “It is not something we should talk about because it is above imagination.”

Dogara, who spoke during a Christmas service at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) at his hometown, Gwarangah, Bogoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, said every generation has had its own peculiar challenges but expressed hope that Nigeria will soon over come its own challenges.

According to him, Nigeria is facing many challenges “but thank God we now have a leader who has good intentions and will fix Nigeria’s problem.”

In his sermon, Rev. Haruna Bukar blamed the lingering fuel scarcity on businessmen, saying they claimed to be Christians and devoted Moslems but they do not fear God.

The clergyman said that Christians should emulate the life of Jesus in everything, as this will bring positive transformation in the land, adding that Christmas is not about eating and drinking, but a time for love, peace and salvation.
