The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that the nationwide display of voters’ register is aimed at putting records straight to avoid encumbrances during the forthcoming general elections.

A statement from the commission in Abuja yesterday said the exercise, which begins tomorrow, November 6 to Monday, November 12, 2018 is in accordance with sections 19 and 20 of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended).

According to the electoral body, the exercise also aims at addressing removal of ineligible voters, among others.
