To curb insecurity, Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has re-launched the state security outfit, ‘Operation Doo Akpo’.

Re-launching the outfit in Yenagoa, Dickson said he was inundated with calls from concerned individuals, when the outfit was suspended.

He observed that the body has shown that with the right equipment, support, training and supervision, it can clean up the state and even do better than colleagues in other states, reason the state government is proud of its achievements.

Dickson promised that his administration would continue to invest massively in security, as crime and criminality have no partisan barrier.

He urged the outfit to chase out all criminals, including cultists terrorising communities, imploring them not to be bothered about political pressures from within and outside the state.

The Coordinator of Community Safety and Vigilante Corp, Mr. Agberebi Akpoebi, appreciated Dickson for investing massively in security and providing his outfit with 55 vehicles and 26 motorcycles to carry out its mandate effectively.
