Dickson pledges to fulfil his promises to Bayelsa people

Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa on Friday pledged that his administration would continue to fulfil its promises to execute people-oriented programmes in spite of the state’s dwindling resources.

Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa on Friday pledged that his administration would continue to fulfil its promises to execute people-oriented programmes in spite of the state’s dwindling resources.

The governor gave the assurance in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, in Yenegoa.

Dickson said that his administration would continue to fulfil its obligations to the people, especially the state’s workforce.

He pledged that the government would strive to provide quality infrastructure and social amenities across the states, while taking care of welfare of the citizenry.

I commend the public service and the entire people of the state for their support and understanding, in spite of the difficult times.

The government will keep faith with its policies and programmes which are geared towards making life more meaningful for the people.

I want to express my gratitude to the people of Bayelsa for their support, understanding and the prayers they offered for the peace and development of the state.

Government will continue to meet its obligations in line with to the expectations of our people.

“Particularly, I want to also thank the public service for their support and understanding to bear with us in our trying moments.

“We must understand that the economic downturn experienced in the state is due to the dwindling national economy.

The government is working very hard to turn things around by diversifying the economy of the state,” he added

Dickson also commended members of the state executive council for their dedication to service, continued loyalty and love as well as their prayers for the administration.
