Mr Victor Abang, the All Progressive Congress candidate for Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency in Cross River has pledged a robust and credible representation if elected.

Abang, popularly called Mature, made the promise on Saturdays while on a campaign across the political wards of Ikom local government area of Cross River.

He told thousands of APC supporters at Akparabong community that he was in the race to win, adding that he has the capacity and contacts to attract development to the constituency.

“There is enough evidence that the people of Ikom/Boki deserve better representation. As we desire the best we should send out the best hands to represent us well and attract meaningful development to our constituency.

“I pledge to provide robust representation, and add value to the good governance of our people.

“I will deploy my wealth of experience and contacts garnered in my twelve years sojourn at the National Assembly where I meritoriously served three Senate Presidents, for the benefit of our people,” he said.

Abang explained that he was already familiar with the rules and politics of the National Assembly, assuring that he would hit the ground running from day one if elected.

He appealed to the people of Ikom/Boki to come out in their numbers on February 16 and March 2 to cast their votes for all the APC candidates during the elections.

Prince Eka Williams, the Director General of Victor Abang’s Reality Campaign Network, said that Abang was the change the people of Ikom/Boki desires.

Eka described Abang as a man who is accessible and reachable whenever his attention was needed.

The Clan Head of Akparabong, Chief Jimmy Etta, who prayed and blessed the candidacy of Abang, said that Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency deserves a better representation at the green chambers.

Etta assured Abang that members of the ward would cast their votes for him during the polls.

Other traditional rulers who spoke at the rally also endorsed Abang as their candidate for the polls.
