CP blames stingy citizens for high poverty level
The Commissioner of Police (CP), Federal Intelligence Bureau Abuja, Ahmed Abdulrahman, has enjoined Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of given alms especially to the less-privileged in the society.
He said the reason for the intense poverty and hunger in the society was as a result of the failure of people to render help to the needy.
Abdulrahman said this yesterday during the yearly Ramadan lecture organised by Nasrul Lahi-L-Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Kaduna Branch.
The CP, who was the Guest Speaker at the occasion, stated that whoever removes from his hard-earned wealth to put smile on the face of another as charity, will surely be rewarded by God Almighty abundantly.
“By helping the less-privileged in the society, it will reduce the spread of poverty and bring about unity,” he said.
