Court asks INEC to halt Senator Dino Melaye’s recall

The Federal High Court, Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to stop forthwith the recall of the representative of Kogi West Senatorial District at the National Assemby, Dino Melaye.

Justice John Tsoho gave the order yesterday while ruling on an application filed by the lawmaker, asking the court to halt his recall.In the prayer, argued by his counsel, Mike Ozekhome, the senator demanded the halt pending the hearing of his originating summons Justice Tsoho, consequently, adjourned the suit to September 29.
