Acting spokesman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Tony Orilade, in a statement in Abuja, said Amosu is standing trial alongside Air Vice Marshall Jacobs Adigun, erstwhile Chief of Accounts and Budgeting, and Air Commodore Gbadebo Owodunni, a one-time Director of Finance and Budget, on an amended 13-count charge bordering on conspiracy and conversion to personal use of the said belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
He said during yesterday’s hearing, the prosecution counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo, sought the leave of the court to tender the earlier exhibits before the former trial Judge, Justice Muhammed Idris.
However, counsel to the defendants, Bolaji Ayorinde, opposed the application, arguing that the statements were extra-judicial in nature and made at EFCC office in Ikoyi, Lagos.
