Counter terrorism: NAF to conduct simulation exercise along Minna
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says it will conduct a simulation exercise on counter-terrorism along Minna-Zungeru Road on Friday.
Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, who announced this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja, said the exercise is nicknamed “EXERCISE BABBAN NAUSHI”
“This is to inform the public, especially residents of Pandogari, Zungeru, and Minna areas of Niger State, that the Nigerian Air Force will conduct a simulation exercise on counter-terrorism nicknamed EXERCISE BABBAN NAUSHI along Minna-Zungeru Road on Friday, Nov.8.
“Accordingly, there will be a movement of military aircraft, vehicles, equipment, personnel as well as the firing of live ammunition during the period of the routine military exercise.
“Additionally, there will be restriction of vehicular movement during the period of the Exercise along the aforementioned road,” he said.
Daramola advised the public not to panic but go about their normal businesses as the NAF would endeavour to minimise disruptions to normal activities.
A similar simulation exercise was carried out along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road in Kaduna State by the Air Force a fortnight ago.
