The people of Mambilla Plateau in Sardauna Local Government council of Taraba state have attributed the relative peace in the community to the leadeship style of the current speaker of the state House of Assembly, Abel Peter Diah.

Diah, who doubles as the Deputy Chairman, Nigeria Conference of Speakers and also re-elected for the fifth time as member representing Mbamnga constituency at the State House of Assembly is said to be one of the youngest speaker in the history of the nation.

Some members of the Mambilla who spoke to The Guardian on how Diah’s representation has ignited peace and development to the area said the people of the area won’t cease from electing him provided he is ready and willing.

Chief of Mbamnga, Ambassador Emmanuel Njiwa said he has no doubt that the leadership of the State House of Assembly under Diah has not only united the people of the Mambilla Plateau, but also brought immense development.

When contacted Diah, said “I was not elected by the people of my constituency as speaker. So speaker or no speaker, what I am after is the good of my people and that of Tarabans as a whole.”
