Community hails Kebbi for overhauling schools
Communities in Kebbi State have hailed the Bagudu led administration for renovating primary and Junior secondary schools across the state.
A visit to some schools in Bunza, Kalgo and Dandi local government areas by a team of journalists in the state revealed that many schools were indeed renovated and equipped.
A community leader of Tungar Baure village in Bunza local government area, Hakimi Abubakar Tungar Baure commended the government for providing his community a new school as well renovating the existing dilapidated blocks of classrooms. Hakimi further said that this has enticed many parents to enroll their wards in school while those that withdrew their children before have re-enrolled them.
Similarly, in Dandi local government area the story is the same as a cross section of parents who spoke to journalists expressed their satisfaction on the way the administration rehabilitated public schools.
The Deputy Vice Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Dandi local government, Suleman Bala Gado Kamba, thanked the state government for the renovation exercise and asked the government to provide fencing at the schools to ensure security as well as a conducive atmosphere for learning.
