As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility towards improving the standard of education in Nigeria, Kiakiaprint, an online print company in conjunction with Upward African Woman, have donated solar power system to Igbobi College to enable school activities function optimally.

The donation, which is in two phases include: four 200 watts solar generators with four 80 watts solar panels, three super bright LED bulbs, 20 5W LED bulbs, DC USB mobile charger; DC/AC output in one unit; Lithium smart; battery technology; solar panel kit included (80W); lightweight, mobile unit (2.5 kg); battery level indicator as well as all installation accessories.

These, the co-founder and CEO, Kiakiaprint, Tunde Ademuyiwa, said would help illuminate the school, adding that an alumnus of the school, who is also a co-founder of the company, initiated the donation.

The founder, Upward African Woman, Monalisa Okojie, said “when students have exams and there is no light to read, they read with candles, lamps or touch light, which is dangerous. With this solar power system, we can power their libraries and dormitories.”

The principal of the school, Venerable Femi Fasina commended the gesture saying electricity is essential to achieving greater output in education.

He said, as the country moves towards technology, there is need for sufficient power supply for the school to function appropriately and efficiently, which in turn affects the level of assimilation of the students.
