As part of activities to mark the end-of-the-year, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Instant noodles on Wednesday organised a Christmas party for members of the Indomie Fan Club at the Apapa Amusement Park, in Lagos.

The park came alive as pupils from different schools, who belong to the club, were celebrated. The event was attended by over 10,000 children. They were overwhelmed with joy as they had unlimited fun and were fed to their satisfaction.

According to the Group Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Foods, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, “the event is organised to celebrate children.

“What the children need is somewhere good where they can have fun. With or without recession, I think what we did as a corporate-socially responsible company is just to create that kind of ambience, to create fun for them, to create excitement for them, because they are all loyal consumers of Indomie instant noodles, so we are giving back to them what they actually want and what they deserve,” he said.

The coordinator of Indomie Fan Club, Mrs. Faith Joshua, said over 200,000 children participated in the party, which was held in different locations across the country.

“What we witness here is happening simultaneously in Abuja, Benin, Ibadan and other locations in Lagos. This is an end-of–the-year event; it is a season for the children to be celebrated.”
