Cleric urges FG to curb insecurity, banditry, unemployment

Prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide, Dr. David Bob-Manuel, has urged the Federal Government and relevant security agencies to protect citizens with guaranteed freedom of worship and movement in the country.

Besides, Bob-Manuel implored the government to declare national emergency on unemployment to reduce the negative security issues currently facing the country.

He disclosed this, yesterday, at the fourth induction ceremony of his ascension into office as the Prelate in Lagos.

According to him, economic and development statistics reveal unemployment as a lagging index in the nation with millions of graduates finding it hard to get a decent job.

He, therefore, urged the Federal Government to revisit agriculture and food production with its renewed efforts toward diversification as an elixir to unemployment in the country.

Bob-Manuel, who spoke on COVID-19 pandemic, said the advent of the pandemic clearly demonstrates the pre-eminence and superiority of God in affairs of man, and should serve as a lesson to man that God is supreme in all things and that ultimate power belongs to Him.

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has reiterated that the only way out of all the problems plaguing the nation is for leaders, as well as every Nigerian, to fully embrace Jesus Christ who alone is capable of taking Nigeria out of the quagmire.

Adeboye said this, yesterday, as the Guest Minister at the divine dedication of Love of Christ Generation Church (Cherubim & Seraphim) in Lagos.

In the same vein, President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Samson Ayorinde, who also spoke at the event, decried the absence of unity in the country, saying: “If we can be united for a common course, Nigeria will be a better country to live.

Also, Founder of the Church, Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi, underscored the importance of obeying God.

“In October 2017, the Lord told me to leave United Kingdom and that He would be giving me a ministry that would be worldwide in nature. I believe and came. We are today dedicating this edifice for people all over the world to worship,” she said.
