CIBN shifts professional test to April 24
Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has shifted its Banking Professional and Certification Examinations to April 24 to 26, 2019. It was earlier scheduled for April 9 to 11.
In a statement yesterday in Lagos, the institute said the postponement was due to the shift in the dates of the 2019 general elections, which necessitated the rescheduling of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
According to CIBN, the new dates fixed by JAMB clashed with the period earlier scheduled for the CIBN examinations, therefore making the Computer-Based Training (CBT) centres unavailable for use.The institute also noted that the adjustments necessitated the extension of registration for the examinations to April 1. It was initially billed to close on March 18.
The timing of the examination was also slightly adjusted, as the morning sessions will hold from 9am to noon, while the afternoon sessions was adjusted to 3pm to 6pm.
