Christians urged to stay hopeful despite challenges

Christians have been urged to remain steadfast in the face of overwhelming challenges. The Senior Pastor of WonderLand Christ Assembly, Prophet Akinola Fasawe, gave this charge yesterday at the 30th anniversary of the Christ The King’s Vineyard Apostolic Church, Oke-Afa, Ejigbo, Lagos State.

According to Fasawe, he termed the challenges many Christians face as ‘law of process.’ “At such difficult point in many peoples’ lives, they tend to lose hope and give up, surrendering to the battles and challenges facing them. But what they fail to realize is that at such a critical period, they have violated that law of process of darkness before sunshine and pain before gain.

“My advice is that at such point, Christians should not begin to look for shortcuts. Just follow the process, learn the lessons of life and become stronger.”

Sharing examples of his turbulent youth age, he said he had once been shot by the police for being in an armed robbery gang among many other things he did that brought sorrow to his parents, but at the end, it was a process God was taking him through to become what he is today.

Speaking on the theme of the anniversary, founder of the church, Pastor Ezekiel Oladosu (JP), said there is hope for Christians in a troubled world. “There are visible signs of the last days in the world we live in today as systems, economies, and government of the world seems not to bring the desired result. But when the world remains in chaos and people are hurting, we have hope because Christ remains the answer to every problem of our life.”
