Victims Support Fund (VSF) has commissioned the Bulumkutu Rehabilitation Centre (BRC) to counsel and integrate 1,300 de-radicalised Boko Haram inmates in Borno.

The N130 million renovated centre has facilities for the comfort of the inmates and other victims that will use it.

Inaugurating the training and trauma centre on Friday in Maiduguri, the executive director of VSF, Prof. Sunday Ochoche, disclosed that “BRC provides a comfortable and secured environment” for de-radicalised inmates and victims of insurgency.

He said the inmates were drawn from insurgency-affected states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states.

The centre will also serve as a contextualised trauma counselling and rehabilitation facility for inmates, he added.
