By Grooming Centre, a non-governmental organization has partnered with Sesor Empowerment Foundation to donate N10.2 million towards alleviating the plight of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Benue and Lagos states.

The money will take care of the Safe Day space project in Lagos and Benue for the IDPs and provide soft loans for women to engage in small businesses and support housing need of the displaced women by funding their relocation.

Speaking at the cheque presentation ceremony at Grooming Centre, Ejigbo, Executive Director of Sesor Foundation, Ler Jonathan-Ichaver, thanked the centre for the gesture, adding that the Safe Day Space facility would be erected in places they will carry out projects.

Signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), CEO, Grooming Centre, Godwin Nwabunka, said the worst that can happen to anybody is displacement and the centre being an empowering institution, seeks to support such project by working to empower survivors of emergencies for a better life and providing relief materials.
