‘Cargo section of Mbakwe airport ready soon’

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has said that the cargo section of the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, has been completed and will be ready for inauguration in second week of this month.

Okorocha disclosed this yesterday when the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Saleh Dunoma, represented by the Director of Commercial Development of the authority, Sadiku Abdukardir Rafindadi, visited him at the Government House in Owerri.

The governor expressed joy that the airport would boost the economy of the state and link the state to other parts of the world when commissioned.
