Buratai alerts soldiers to emerging security threats
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, has alerted troops of Operation Lafiya Dole to the emerging security threats to the nation.
He raised the alarm yesterday while celebrating the Eid-el-Fitri with officers of 22 Brigade, Dikwa in Borno State.
The military chief urged the soldiers not rest on their oars, as the existing and emerging security threats were potent and must be nipped in the bud.
“We must continue to be ahead of these security challenges to ensure peace in the North East region,” he pleaded.
Represented by Chief of Logistics, Army Headquarters, Maj.-Gen. Eneobong Udoh, Buratai counselled: “We must redouble our efforts to completely eliminate all acts of insurgency, kidnapping, banditry, secession and other forms of security threats.”
