Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari defeated Atiku Abubakar, his main challenger, at the polling unit of former president Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital, on Saturday.

While the All Progressives Congress polled 87 votes in the presidential election, the People’s Democratic Party got just 18 votes.

Obasanjo had picked Atiku over his former ally Buhari, advising the president to quit politics.
