Bucks coach Kidd banned one game for confronting ref
Milwaukee Bucks coach Jason Kidd was suspended one game without pay on Thursday by the NBA for confronting a referee and slapping the ball out of his hands.
The league imposed the ban for Kidd “aggressively pursuing and confronting a game official, slapping the ball out of his hands, and not leaving the court in a timely manner upon his ejection”, in Milwaukee’s 129-118 home loss to Sacramento on Wednesday.
The incident came with 1:49 remaining in the fourth quarter and led to Kidd receiving a technical foul and being ejected from the game.
As punishment, Kidd was suspended from the Bucks’ game Friday at Orlando.
At 6-9, the Bucks are last in the Central division, five games behind pace-setting Cleveland. Milwaukee is third-worst in the Eastern Conference, ahead only of the Brooklyn Nets — the team where Kidd starred as a player — and the winless Philadelphia 76ers.
