Borno State government Sunday declared Monday, January 21, a work-free day to welcome the ruling All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari.

The state government said it declared the one-day public holiday to “enable all the good people of Borno state, including workers in both the public and private sectors as well as students to, as usual, troop out in large numbers to welcome Mr President to the state.”

Nigeria heads to poll in the next few weeks with the incumbent president seeking re-election under the aegis of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
