Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has debunked reports that he paid N64 billion in salaries and pension in his 150 days in office.

His media adviser, Mukhtar Gidado, noted at the weekend that a section of the media reported that the governor said he had paid over N64 billion outstanding pension and salaries.

“It was reported that the governor made the statement while interacting with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Press Corps who were in Bauchi State for a two-day retreat.

“For the avoidance of doubt and to put the records straight, it is imperative to clarify that the governor was misquoted,” he said.
