Banjo, Anya, others for OSIFA debate series on democracy
Ahead of the 2019 general elections, former Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor Ayo Banjo, alongside prominent academics will commence a debate series aimed at strengthening the country’s democracy.
Banjo will chair the inaugural session of the Okali Senimal Ideas Foundation for Africa (OSIFA) great debate series (OGDS), while Professor Anya O.Anya, Haruna Manu, Lanre Adebayo, Professor Jumai Audi, Gregory Okon, Queen Ehirin, will join as panelists, while Professor Chudi Uwazurike will serve as rapporteur.
Discussions will debate whether the western model of democracy has failed in Africa during the event slated for Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in Abuja.
