Auta seeks vote to become first PWD in House of Representatives
A House of Representatives Candidate for Amac/Buhari Federal constituency, on the platform of Accord Party, Louis Auta, who is physically challenged, has urged FCT residents to vote massively for her during the 2019 General elections.
Auta, who is also the chairman of Cedar Seed Foundation, while flagging off her campaign yesterday, in Abuja, said her physical challenge would not debar her from ensuring inclusiveness of FCT indigenes in policy making.
She said: “That I’m in a wheel chair does not make me less human, I am restricted by the hurdles and obstacles posed by a society that does not make inclusiveness a focus and priority. It is with this and other challenges that have informed my decision to participate in partisan politics.
According to her, she represent about 87million people whose voices are not heard, 25million people living with disabilities, women and children who are not involved in policy making.
