The Atiku Ladies Movement (ALM), a group seeking the election of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has called on Nigerian women to ensure that their votes count in 2019 election, especially for Atiku.

National Coordinator, ALM, Comrade Chioma Ononyaba said ALM, as a grassroots group, will mobilise and sensitise women on political matters, especially in the pursuit of their rights.

She noted that the electoral value of women had been taken for granted for too long, which should end.

“We will count on our votes to impact on governance. We have confidence in women’s capacity to make the difference in 2019, because they are the natural agents of change,” she said.

Ononyaba stated that ALM would ensure that no woman is left behind in its door-to-door campaign.

Deputy Director of Support Groups for the Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCO), Hon. Oladimeji Fabiyi said the power of women to effect desired change in any society cannot be taken for granted. He advised ALM to shun any undesirable act that would tarnish womanhood in the course of their activities. He presented two books written by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to the group.
