Atiku beats Buhari at Sanwo-Olu’s polling unit

Presidential candidate of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar defeated Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the polling unit of Lagos State APC governorship candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Earlier today, Sanwo-Olu voted at Femi Okunnu polling unit, Lateef Jakande in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Voting reportedly began at the polling unit at about 9:00 a.m.

After the voting exercise, Atiku was declared the winner of Sanwo-Olu’s polling unit over Buhari.

Former vice president and PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, polled 52 votes to defeat incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 48 votes.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari, Senator Olamilekan Solomon and Yinka Durosinmi won in the presidential and National Assembly elections at Lagos State deputy governor Idiat Adebule’s the Polling Unit 029 Devince Iba, Lagos.

For the presidential election, APC had 129 votes to defeat PDP with 124 votes. For Senate, APC dusted PDP with 128 to 119. The Deputy Governor also ensured that PDP was beaten by 131 votes to123 votes in the House of Representatives.
