Arewa chieftain, don seek scrapping of JAMB
Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Liman Kwande, yesterday called on the Federal Government to immediately scrap the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), accusing the organisation of ‘sabotaging’ educational development in the country.
He also faulted JAMB for making billions in naira for government through alleged exploitation of Nigerians.
Corroborating the Arewa chieftain, a former vice chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Nuhu Yakub, regretted that government had not deemed it fit over the years to scrap the body.
The duo spoke separately at a one-day stakeholders’ discourse on security, peace and economic development in Abuja.
