Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has kicked against plans by Governor Ben Ayade to turn the Tinapa Business and Leisure Resort to a world-class university.

Governor Ayade recently announced plans to turn the $46 billion Tinapa, which has remained moribund, to a university where research work would be prioritised.

In a statement by its publicity secretary, Bassey Ita, the party said: “Ayade will not stop amusing Cross River people, as the people are daily inundated with promises that have all remained only in the realm of imagination.”
