THE ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday okayed the deluge of foreign trips being embarked by President Muhammadu Buhari, noting that it was in the interest of the nation.

Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Timi Frank, who spoke to The Guardian in Abuja maintained that the dividends that would come with the diplomatic missions being embarked by Buhari.

According to him: “President Buhari ‘s trips abroad is in the interest of the country at this point in time. As far as we are concerned, it is not a wasteful journey. Soon Nigeria would start reaping from the dividends of the trips. The president is trying to build a better name for Nigeria.

“This is understandable since we all know that under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration, Nigeria had a bad name. So, what the president is doing is to clear such bad image. ”
