APC holds summit on women’s role in elections

THE All Progress Congress (APC) Kaduna State campaign council, will tomorrow hold a summit to educate women on their role in successful elections in a democratic dispensation.

THE All Progress Congress (APC) Kaduna State campaign council, will tomorrow hold a summit to educate women on their role in successful elections in a democratic dispensation.

The summit, which has the theme “The role of Women in Elections” will be attended by professional women groups, women in business, rural women and Market women associations.

According to Ruth Akali, the Director of APC Women Mobilization in the state, the first paper that will be presented at the summit is “The role of women in determining the outcome of an election” and the second paper would highlight on “The role of women as peacemakers and as stabilizing force in the aftermath of elections.”

Mallam Nasir El Rufa’I , who is the candidate of APC in Saturday’s governorship polls in Kaduna State would deliver the keynote address and also participate in an interactive session with participants at the conference.

The summit would begin at 9.am to 4.pm.
