APC distances self from Wadume over N13m campaign fund
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has distanced itself from claims by alleged kidnap kingpin, Hamisu Balla a.k.a Wadume that he collected N13m from the party to prosecute the last presidential campaign in Taraba State.
APC, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Malam Lanre Issa –Onilu, maintained that there was no iota of truth in Wadume’s claim.
It noted: “It is expected that the alleged kidnapper, having come face to face with justice, would throw whatever he could lay his hands on into the fray. In any case, our party did not have budget for thugs.
“Even if we had all the money, we would never allocate money for kidnappers and murderers.
“Perhaps, he can name whoever gave him money. Definitely, it was not APC. ”
