A coalition against impunity known as Stop Impunity Nigeria Campaign has asked the chairman of Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to make available to it the assets declaration forms submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo last week.

In an application pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, 2011, which was delivered to the CCB office chairman office on Monday, the group, comprising the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), Community Life Project (CLP), Human Development Initiative (HDI) and Media Rights Agenda (MRA), is asking for copies of the following documents in the custody of the bureau, namely:

• Buhari’s Assets Declaration Form and Osinbajo’s Assets Declaration Form, both submitted to the Code of Conduct Bureau on May 28, 2015 or thereabout in accordance with Section 140(1) and Section 142(2) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended respectively.

The coalition said it expects to receive the documents within the seven days stipulated by the Freedom of Information Act.

Are members of this dubious “Anti-Impunity Group”dunces who do not understand the Constitution? Why can”t they wait for the 30 days as provided by law withing which the declarations will be made public? But were they alive during the last dispensation? They should just be ignored as agents of the last clueless government. Duka Dan banza kena.

Hey wait a minute aren’t these two supposed to be the harbinger of the much flaunted “change” under which premise they ran? I think the salient and the least they can offer Nigeria is to keep their electioneering promise of doing things differently from the past. And for you Mr Omowena, Nigeria is not in the past, we are supposed to be under a new dispensation of “SHENGI” Sege mallam.

Even in nature, there is a proper time and procedure for every matter. For example, you did not start walking right
out of your mothers womb. First, you cralled and then you learned to walk. So, be patient, BUHARIs administration will toe the proper time and procedure. Have a nice day.
