Ansar-ud-deen donates items to hospital

nigerian-hospital-(1)As part of activities to honour deserving members and some eminent Nigerians who have contributed immensely to the growth of Islam and successes recorded so far by the Lagos State Council of Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, the society last Friday paid a welfare visit to the Ikorodu General Hospital in Ikorodu, Lagos state where it donated some items to the hospital for the care of the patients.

The visit, which had in attendance eminent members from the Lagos State council of the society,and led by the Chairman of the council, Alhaji Nurudeen Okunleye is a build-up to the 10th annual award ceremony which was held on Sunday at the Ikorodu Musical village.

During the presentation ceremony of the gift items at the hospital premise, Alhaji Nurudeen disclosed that the visit is aimed at extending love, hope and letting the patients know that Ansar-ud-deen cares about them.

The items include; bedspreads, insecticide treated nets and a host of others.

He said: “It is our tradition that at every award we pay visit to any government hospital that is located in the host community. This is intended to let the patients who are undergoing treatment that they are not alone that Ansar-ud-deen is with them with prayers.”

Chairperson, Women Council, Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Alhaja Riskat Oke, hinted that the need to cater for the welfare of the masses necessitated the visit.

She said: “Welfare of the masses is key to us at Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria. Apart from this, Allah has instructed us to be good neighbours and be good to one another. Of course, this necessitated our visit to Ikorodu General Hospital on a welfare visit where we donate items such as 100 bed-spreads,100 insecticide treated nets for the care of the patients and as it is said that water gives life, we also supply several packs of ADSON table waters to refresh the staff at the Hospital who cares for the sick.”

The welfare visit came to peak with the Ansar-ud-deen team’s visit to the palace of Ayangbure of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty Oba Abdul Kabir Olawale Shotomi, where the monarch was presented with a gift of Qur’an and prayer mats.
