Anambra government house on lockdown as governor refuses to address protesters

Protesters of #EndSARS movement yesterday blocked the Anambra State government bringing activities to a standstill over the governor’s refusal to address them.
The governor, Willie Obiano, apparently sent SSG representatives, but the protesters refused, demanding his presence.
According to eye witnesses, after the government officials were rejected, someone, suspected to be an official offered the protesters two million naira, which was rejected.
The protesters, who are at government house, located along Enugu Onitsha Expressway have vowed to spend the night waiting on the government to respond.
The protesters are also using the medium to demand the release of Onyeka Okigbo who was arrested and taken to SARS custody for five years and hasn’t been seen, along with others who have been unlawfully detained.
Protesters are demanding that SSA on security to the governor, James Nwafor who was also Anambra Ex-SARS Commander be prosecuted for human right violation which occurred during his tenure.
