Akoko youths commend T.B. Joshua over N26m donation for power restoration

The General Overseer of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Joshua, has donated over N26m towards restoring electricity and putting an end to over two years of power outage in the four councils in Akoko area of Ondo State.

Indigenes of the area, while expressing profound gratitude to the cleric for contributing immensely to the electrification and restoration of power in over 200 communities in Ondo North Senatorial District of the state.

The affected councils, Akoko South-West, Akoko South-East, Akoko North-West and Akoko North-East, were in total darkness for over two years before the intervention of some notable indigenes, including Joshua.

According to the traditional rulers and youths, the cleric donated the sum of N8.9 million to ensure that electricity was restored in the area, in addition to another N8.1m for the replacement of transformer and other accessories.

They noted that the two donations were different from the sum of N9.4 million paid earlier to the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) for the provision of electricity.

The youths, under the aegis of Akoko Youths (AY), described Joshua’s kind gesture as exceptional and responsive to the agonies of the masses.

In a statement issued in Akure yesterday, the National President of the group, Babatunde Momoh, urged prominent Akoko sons and daughters to imitate the laudable efforts of the cleric.
