Ajimobi, Ribadu, Alaafin, Soun, others for Akintola’s book launch

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State is leading dignitaries to a book launch in honour of former premier of defunct Western Region, the late Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola.

The event, which holds on Friday by 12 noon at the University of Ibadan, is to be chaired by one-time Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Also expected at the occasion are erstwhile state governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi, as well as members of the federal and state legislatures representing Akintola’s home town of Ogbomoso.

Entitled S.L. Akintola: In the Eyes of History, the book was written by a former member of the House of Representatives and lawyer, Femi Kehinde.

The guest of honour is the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Osun State, Oba Dokun Abolarin.
