Ajiboye asks Nigerians to seek God’s intervention in insecurity

The General Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Bible Society of Nigeria, Dr. Dare Ajiboye, has decried the spate of kidnapping, banditry, terrorism, and other vices in Nigeria, urging the citizens to seek God’s intervention.

Ajiboye made the appeal, yesterday, at a press briefing at the Bible Guest House, Ilupeju, while announcing the importance of setting aside May 5 as the National Day of the Bible.

He said: “It is common knowledge all over the world that some days are set aside to celebrate some events. However, as efficacious as the Word of God is, no day is set aside in Nigeria to celebrate it.

“Considering the undeniable benefits of the Word of God to humanity, it is therefore reasonable that in these days that vices appear to be taking over every part of the country, we should give God a chance.”

Ajiboye said that if Nigerians could adopt the values prescribed in the Bible, it would help to solve most, if not all, the challenges the country is grappling with.
