Ailing policeman in need of N10m for kidney transplant

Until his ailment, Mr. Clement Eromosele worked with the Nigerian Police Force, which he joined in the early 90s. He enlisted into the force as a recruit and was trained at Ikeja Police College, Lagos. He rose through the ranks and became a Superintendent of Police (Supol) at the twilight of his ailment. As an astute officer, Clement has a knack for orderliness, neatness and cleanliness, attributes that endeared him to his colleagues.

Some 13 years ago, Clement was diagnosed of diabetes mellitus, which he has been managing. This condition has taken the better part of his earnings to the detriment of his children’s education. It has also worsened and affected the functionality of his kidneys, leading to general body swelling, anorexia and poor sleep. To manage this condition, he has been on dialysis twice a week at about N55,000 per session.

He has, however, been advised by doctors to undergo a kidney transplant, estimated to cost about N9 million excluding the cost for a donor. With a huge burden of debt already incurred since his income is not able to shoulder his treatment, and no more assets to sell to raise funds, the once ebullient cop is now a shadow of himself as he battles for his life. He, therefore, seeks help from Nigerians to enable him undergo a kidney transplant and get a new lease of life.
