AfriCare recommends LPG cooking gas for safety
To drastically cut down the number of women who die every year as a result of explosion from cooking items like firewood, kerosene, and charcoal, Africare Nigeria has launched a behavioural change communication campaign, to increase the number of Nigerians that use LPG as their preferred cooking fill.
Speaking at the ‘Upgrade to gas campaign’ in Oshodi, recently, Country Director of AfriCare Nigeria, Dr. Orode Doherty, said over ninety eight thousand women die every year as a result of explosion from cooking fills, like the firewood, kerosene, and charcoal.
“We want to enlighten residents of Oshodi Isolo Local Government area, and we are going to be here for the next six months. We are advocating using LPG cooking gas because it is safe, clean, affordable, and available in Nigeria.”
