Adamawa revenue boss weeps over accounts
Tuta was last week summoned by the House of Assembly to explain the alleged financial fraud in the agency.
The Deputy Speaker, Mr. Sunday Peter, representing Guyuk constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) asked Tuta to tell the House the number of accounts that the agency was operating and the amount it collects every month as revenue, but the chairman was silent.
“Mr. chairman, can you tell this House how much you collect as revenue every month and how many accounts you are operating?“ There was no answer from Tuta, the chairman.
The Chief Whip, Mr. Hassan Burguma, representing Hong constituency who was angered by the attitude of the board chairman said Mr. Chairman how much do you collect as revenue from each petroleum filling station?“
“ I cannot even comprehend what you are saying, because there is no meaning in it and it has no relationship with all the questions we are asking you, we are giving you six months to either improve on the present status of the state revenue to N2 billion monthly or quit, because by all indications your presence there as the chairman has no economic gains, “ Burguma said.
