Abia APGA guber candidate, state Chairman not suspended, says Spokesman
The Publicity Secretary of the Abia State chapter of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr. Ebere Uzoukwa, has insisted that its governorship candidate in last year’s general elections, Dr. Alex Otti, and the state Chairman, Chief Nkem Okoro, have not been suspended from the party at their wards, Councils or state branches.
The Rev. Augustine Ehiemere faction of the party, which has Sunday Onukwubiri as state Secretary, had few days ago issued a press statement on the suspension of the duo while addressing some journalists in Umuahia.
But Uzoukwa said the purported suspension of Otti and Okoro was a ruse by APGA impostors in the state masquerading as executive members of the party in the state.
According to him, Ehiemere and Onukwubiri do not belong to the executive of our party at any level in the state; hence they lack powers and authority to suspend Otti or any other member.
He, therefore, urged party members and followers to discountenance the purported suspensions aimed at destabilising Abia APGA and derailing the wheel of justice at the governorship election petition tribunal.
