Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday said that the 32-metric tonne rice mill and Light Industrial Park at Imota would be completed before the end of the year.

Sanwo-Olu disclosed this while on a tour of the mill and industrial park complex, saying he was happy with the level of work done so far.

The governor, who stated that the inspection was aimed at seeing the level of work done, said that at completion, they would create between 1,000 and 1,500 direct jobs.

He also promised that once the rain stops, the state government would commence the Ishawo and Igbogbo routes in Ikorodu.

He, therefore, pleaded with the residents to be patient with the government, as contractors would be mobilised back to site once the rain subsides to avoid wastage in project execution.
