As Nigerians cast their votes to elect a new president today, senior pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), Bolaji Idowu has advised that the 2019 elections must be about the progress of the country and her citizens.

“Tribalism, religion should not be allowed to come in between our dream for a greater country, let’s put all aside and vote for one Nigeria, in the end, it’s not about the political party that win, Nigeria and Nigerians must win.”

Advising Nigerians not to sit at home during the poll, he said, “You must make up your mind to say Nigeria and Nigerians must win, secure the future of our children by delivering to them the Nigeria they deserve. We have prayed enough for the Nigeria of our dreams. Now, God is counting on us to do what is right, with our right to vote.’

“All we need do is vote people that have shown the ability to come to terms with the Nigeria of our dreams. People that recognise that you matter and your vote count.

You should know that a decision not to vote is a vote in itself, if you don’t plant your seed into the ground, someone else’s seed that may not share in your values will grow in your place.”
