teacher’s day

Held annually in remembrance and celebration of the signing of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, World’s Teachers Day, since 1994, under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has been lined to attentively check the profession, teaching.

The qualified teacher is key. As much as the focus is usually on what and what not the government has done to enable the profession, the individual that make up the profession also says a lot. The lot this year should be on just more than the government but all parties.

History has shown that the role of teachers in the world’s development and growth cannot be sidelined. Their importance and good work, highly appreciated. Their continuous necessity, a given.

Take the time to appreciate one today. Happy World Teachers Day.
