Nicki Minaj Accused Of Stabbing Ex-Boyfriend Safaree Samuels

In an alleged domestic abuse incident, New York rapper Onika Maraj, popularly known as her stage name Nicki Minaj, has been accused by her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels of stabbing him.

Narrating his experience on Twitter, Samuels wrote:

“Remember the night you cut me and I almost died the police and ambulance had to take me out the crib on a stretcher. I had to lie and tell them I was trying to kill myself so they wouldn’t take you to jail.

“When things like that start happening more than once it’s time to dip. You know what I still don’t have no hate for you cuz I’m happy in my own mind now.”

His last statement states that he is not pressing charges over the alleged incident.

In response to this accusation, also via Twitter, the rapper said Samuels was lying although she specifically did not address the domestic violence allegation. She wrote:

“U stole my card & told me you thought it was an account with ‘free money’ that I didn’t know about. God will strike you down & more for lying. Ha! Stop saying u packed & left!”

In an interview with radio station Hoot 97, Minaj had previously accused Samuels of stealing her credit cards and paying for prostitutes during the course of their relationship. Samuels denied both accusations.

Minaj was criticised recently for sending verbally abusive Twitter messages to a woman who criticised her music.

Her collaboration with fellow New York rapper 6ix9ine has also been questioned. 6ix9iine was found guilty in 2015 of “using a child in a sexual performance” after being filmed having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl, an incident he could e jailed for.

One of the most successful rappers in the US, Minaj holds the record for the most Hot 100 chart hits by a solo female artist, with 93 appearances. She recently released her fourth studio album titled Queen which could top the charts this week.
