In September of 2016, the ridiculously talented producer-turned-artiste Maleek Berry dropped his outstanding six-track EP, Last Daze of Summer, and over a year later that body of work is still the gift that keeps on giving.

While Maleek has released other impressive singles since the EP dropped, you can’t argue that Last Daze still holds some of his best work till date. Which is why we are glad he decided to drop a video for two of the project’s standout tracks: “Let Me Know” and “Lost In The World”.

On an EP filled with deceptively mushy love songs disguised as dance numbers, the mushiest has to be “Let Me Know”. The song finds Maleek trying – nay, begging – to take his relationship with a friend to the next level.

“Lost In The World”, on the other hand, is a song that finds Maleek wearing his broken heart on his sleeve. While he chastises his ex for “changing up” and “getting lost in the world”, he clearly still loves her, referring to her as “the one that got away”.

The heartbreaking music video skillfully merges the themes of both songs. It starts off with “Let Me Know”, showing Maleek on what seems like the perfect date before revealing it’s all a memory. It then changes gears to “Lost In The World”, where Maleek Berry finally confronts his estranged ex.
