To celebrate 20 years since the first Harry Potter book (The Philosopher’s Stone) was published, publisher Bloomsbury has announced two new Harry Potter books set to be released in October. They are titled Harry Potter: A History Of Magic, The Book of the Exhibition; and Harry Potter: A Journey Through a History of Magic. The first book surveys the subjects studied at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, while the second focuses on the stories behind spells, magical creatures, and famous wizards and witches.

Harry Potter is a series of fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. There are seven original books in total. These new books are not new stories about the original Harry Potter characters. They, however, add to the growing world of the Harry Potter franchise.

Although J.K Rowling may have put Harry Potter’s story to rest, she does not intend to abandon the universe anytime soon. This is why we have Harry Potter in Cursed Child, the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and illustrated versions of the actual Harry Potter books. New versions keep finding their way to the shelves often.
