It’s no longer a fad that everyone strives to keep their youthful game strong. It’s now a lifestyle and it’s here to stay. Suddenly people have become more conscious of their health and bodies, many are finding ways to remain forever young. One of the tricks to achieving this is by cleansing and getting rid of unnecessary toxins in the body. It is particularly essential for keeping that youthful glow and living an illness-free and energy-full life.

Toxins are basically any substance that creates irritating and/or harmful effects in the body and stress the original function of the body organs. The process of getting rid of the toxins in your body can be effectively done by a simple detox method, which can be beneficial to the body.

Here are a few ways to detoxify your system.

Drink fruit-detox water

Detox water is a life saver, it’s one of the best ways to flush out harmful toxins present in the body system, and to cultivate the habit of drinking more water. As a matter of fact, water helps to transport the necessary nutrients to the different parts of the body for normal function. With the introduction of detox water, it is possible for you to enjoy delicious treats without compromising your health or physique. Some delicious fruit detox waters such as; watermelon citrus detox water, cucumber-mint detox water, pineapple-strawberry detox water or lemon burst detox water will do.

Exercise regularly

Exercising regularly encourages blood circulation and the proper function of the immune system. This will help to enhance digestion, reduce tension/stress, lubricate joints, and strengthen your body in general. People who exercise regularly are said to have fewer total toxins in their system than those who do not.

Drink a lot of teayouthful

The benefits of drinking tea are enormous. Its goodness doesn’t only lie in its antioxidant property but also in the health benefits of hydrating and cleansing the body. For example, green herbal tea can cause mild reductions in blood sugar levels and may also lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes in the long run. Green tea contains less caffeine than coffee but enough to produce an effect. It also has some caffeine present that works synergistically with the amino acid L-theanine also present to improve brain function.

Eat organic

A colourful variety of fruits and veggies should be the focus of your diet, alongside whole grains, legumes and small amounts of nuts and seeds. Try as much as possible to stick to whole foods and avoid processed foods as they lack the nutrients your body needs and may contribute to the build-up of toxins. Green vegetables for instance, are low in calories, full of micronutrients and help rid the liver of harmful toxins.

Exfoliate or skin brush

This form of skin cleansing is important because the dermis is continually producing new skin cells, which rise to the surface to aid protection. Skin brushing or exfoliation is a swift and powerful way to enhance the detoxification process. It improves the appearance of your skin by removing dead cells, helping new skin to regenerate, stimulating blood circulation and the lymphatic system, and greatly enhancing toxin elimination, weight loss and cellulite reduction, as well as improving body tone.

Get in a sauna

Sweating is a form of detoxification and a good place to stimulate this process would be in a sauna. Research has repeatedly shown that sweating in a sauna helps detoxify the body of the toxic agents, such as lactic acid, sodium, and uric acid that accumulate in the body with time. The skin pores open and the toxins stored in subcutaneous fat are released through the process. Blood circulation increase when you’re in the sauna and increased blood flow improves blood oxygenation, which in turn aids the dissolution of hidden toxic agents in the blood. It’s right about that time to get you in a sauna!
